HB 2680 Summary

• Creates a new "Fighting Addiction Through Education" special license plate as the 51st type of optional plate authorized under Oklahoma law.

• Twenty dollars ($20.00) of the $35.00 special plate fee shall be deposited into a new "Fighting Addiction Through Education License Plate Revolving Fund" managed by the State Department of Health.

• Fund monies shall be used to provide grants to Fighting Addiction Through Education organization for educating the public on substance abuse and addiction and reducing substance abuse incidence in Oklahoma.

• Establishes legislative findings that Fighting Addiction Through Education provides important community services adequate to justify the public funding provided through the license plate program.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
