HB 2900 Summary

• Private educational institutions organized for profit and accredited by the Oklahoma State Regents, national/regional accrediting agencies, or the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools must provide applicant students written information prior to enrollment including faculty credentials, all programs offered, and accreditation status of each program.

• Institutions must disclose to applicants prior to enrollment whether the school has been found in violation of licensure, certification, or accreditation requirements by relevant state or accrediting bodies.

• Institutions must inform applicant students of programs where completion will not allow them to take professional certification or licensing exams due to lack of program accreditation.

• Institutions must disclose credit hours or degrees that will not be transferrable to other institutions.

• All required information must be posted on the institution's Internet website and included in all recruitment materials and advertisements.
