Amends 2 O.S. 2011, Section 16-26 to modify the definition of "extreme fire danger" for county-level burn bans during drought conditions.

Changes the criterion for extreme fire danger from "more than twenty percent (20%) of wildfires caused by escaped debris or controlled burning" to "it is likely fires in the county have been or may be caused by natural conditions within the county."

Maintains existing provisions for gubernatorial drought emergency proclamations and county commissioner burn ban resolutions, including fire department chief concurrence requirements.

Effective date: November 1, 2012.
