Mixed beverage, caterer, mixed beverage/caterer combination, and bottle club licensees must maintain liability insurance coverage of at least $350,000 per occurrence for personal injury or property damage resulting from violations of specified sections of Oklahoma statute by the licensee or their employees, managers, operators, or agents.

The Alcoholic Beverage Law Enforcement Commission shall promulgate rules for audit and enforcement and create a standard form signed by a licensed insurance agent verifying the licensee maintains the required insurance policy with paid premiums for at least 12 months or until annual renewal.

Licensees must submit the completed liability insurance form annually to the ABLE Commission on or before license issue or renewal and maintain a copy available for inspection during investigations or audits.

Failure to comply with the liability insurance requirements constitutes grounds for immediate suspension or revocation of the license under the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Control Act.

Bill becomes effective November 1, 2012.
