HB 3042 Summary

• Amends Title 74 O.S. 2011, Sections 18f and 212 regarding the State Auditor and Inspector's authority and audit procedures

• Requires the Attorney General to assist the State Auditor and Inspector in obtaining reimbursement for audit services when an audited entity fails to pay within 90 days of receiving an itemized invoice

• Requires district attorneys to assist the State Auditor and Inspector in obtaining reimbursement for audit costs when an audited entity cannot or will not pay within 90 days of invoice submission

• Maintains existing provisions that audit costs must be borne by the entity being audited, with penalties of $10 per day for unpaid costs after 90 days

• Effective date: November 1, 2012
