HB3051 Summary

• Department of Human Services employees who knowingly allow placement of a child in a home with an adult having criminal convictions for violent crimes, drug use, or documented risk of harm without notifying all parties shall be subject to prosecution for negligent homicide or other criminal/civil penalties.

• DHS employees who knowingly falsify documentation or fail to notify parties of critical information in child abuse/neglect cases shall be prosecuted for fraud, negligence, or other criminal/civil consequences if the child dies or is determined to be near death.

• Employees convicted under this section shall forfeit all retirement and other benefits accrued under Section 24.1 of Title 51 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• The act becomes effective November 1, 2012.
