Acknowledges the substantial economic impact of MS, with estimated annual costs of $23 billion nationally and $64,000 per affected family, along with individual annual costs reaching $27,000 in lost wages and $39,000 in healthcare expenses.

Expresses appreciation for the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's ongoing efforts to raise awareness and fund research, noting that Oklahomans raised over $1.5 million in the previous year for MS research and programs.

Proclaims March 2012 as "Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month" in Oklahoma and encourages state citizens to support efforts to find the cause and cure for MS.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Patti Barker, Board member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
