Congratulates Betty Thompson on her selection as Miss Oklahoma 2011 and her achievements at the Miss America 2012 pageant, where she was named America's Choice semifinalist, won the talent competition, and placed as first runner-up.

Recognizes Thompson's accomplishments including being a senior Elementary Education major at Oklahoma State University on the 2011 Dean's Honor Roll and a member of the Dairy Farmers Spokesperson Network.

Acknowledges Thompson's representation of the USA at the World Irish Dance Championships for four years and her distinction as the first Oklahoman to medal at the All-Ireland Irish Dance Championships.

Notes Thompson's high school achievements as Valedictorian of Davenport High School in 2007, class president for all four years, and Northeast District 4-H president in her senior year.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be distributed to Miss Betty Thompson.
