Legislature disapproves amendments made by the Ethics Commission to Rules 257:1-1-2 and 257:23-1-2, which were finalized and voted on January 20, 2012.

The disapproved rules concerned ethical conduct for campaigns for elective state office and initiatives/referenda, and ethical conduct for state officers and employees.

Legislature asserts disapproval because the amendments do not reflect the intent of the Oklahoma Legislature, as reserved under Section 3 of Article 29 of the Oklahoma Constitution.

Secretary of State is directed to distribute copies of the resolution to the Governor, the Ethics Commission, and the editor of The Oklahoma Register.
