SB 1065 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-309D to regulate disclosure of central repository information collected under the Anti-Drug Diversion Act.

• Restricts access to confidential central repository information to authorized law enforcement, DEA officials, specified state professional boards, and multicounty grand juries.

• Allows the Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control to disclose statistical information to the public limited to types and quantities of controlled substances dispensed and the county where dispensed.

• Prohibits unauthorized disclosure of central repository information as a misdemeanor and grounds for removal from office; shields registrants from liability for accessing or failing to access the repository.

• Makes nonfatal overdose information completely confidential, accessible only to the Bureau Director, Chief Medical Examiner, and the registrant who entered the information.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
