Amends 57 O.S. 2011, Section 530.2 to modify procedures for handling personal property of deceased inmates in Oklahoma correctional facilities

Requires inmates to complete a notarized form within 3 days of entering Department of Corrections custody designating a person to receive their personal property upon death

Allows inmates to change their designated beneficiary at any time

Authorizes the Department of Corrections to deduct cremation costs from the balance owed to an inmate's designee if the designee declines to accept the inmate's remains and the department pays for cremation

Makes language gender-neutral by replacing "said" and "he" with "the" and "or she"; becomes effective November 1, 2012
