SB1271 Summary

• Exempts commercial poultry waste applicators from required educational courses and training on poultry waste handling and management.

• Removes certification requirements for commercial poultry waste applicators, allowing them to operate without obtaining a valid applicator's certificate from the State Board of Agriculture.

• Maintains educational and certification requirements for private poultry waste applicators and operators of poultry feeding operations.

• Amends 2 O.S. 2011, Sections 10-9.5, 10-9.17, and 10-9.21 to implement these exemptions for commercial applicators only.

• Effective November 1, 2012.
