SB 1272 Summary

• Amends Section 2-309D of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes to modify who can access the central repository for Anti-Drug Diversion Act information.

• Adds licensed medical doctors, osteopathic physicians, doctors of podiatry, and doctors of psychiatry to entities with access to the central repository, limited to patient-specific information prior to prescribing controlled dangerous substances.

• Designates the executive director or chief investigator of the State Board of Pharmacy, Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, and other professional boards as having access to information relevant to their respective licensees.

• Clarifies that registrants have no requirement or obligation to access the central repository and cannot be held liable for damages resulting from accessing or failing to access the information.

• Establishes the effective date as November 1, 2012.
