SB 1318 Summary

• Amends 69 O.S. 2011, Sections 1281 and 1282 relating to outdoor advertising regulations and the Department of Transportation's authority

• Authorizes the Department of Transportation to use appropriated funds or road fund revenues for matching federal funds or other purposes under the outdoor advertising statutes (Section 1271 et seq.)

• Establishes a misdemeanor penalty of up to $100 fine for violations of outdoor advertising provisions, with each day of violation counted as a separate offense

• Takes effect July 1, 2012, with an emergency clause declaring immediate necessity for public health and safety
