SB 1382 Summary

• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 4667 to clarify the relationship between Langston University-Tulsa and Oklahoma State University-Tulsa regarding undergraduate degree programs.

• Requires Oklahoma State University-Tulsa to avoid unnecessary duplication of undergraduate degree programs offered by Langston University-Tulsa, as determined by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

• Maintains Langston University funding at no less than fiscal year 1998 levels and requires allocation of faculty resources and building space at 70% of 1998 levels in Tulsa.

• Effective July 1, 2012, with an emergency clause declaring the act immediately effective upon passage and approval.
