SB 1415 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-309 to permit pharmacists to fill prescriptions for methadone in licensed pharmacies without restrictions.

• Adds explicit language stating "nothing shall prohibit a pharmacist from filling a prescription for methadone in a licensed pharmacy" as an exception to existing controlled substance regulations.

• Makes minor grammatical and pronoun corrections throughout the statute while maintaining existing requirements for controlled dangerous substances in other schedules.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2012.
