Bill Summary: SB1419

• Defines "professional medical licensing boards" as boards requiring postgraduate degrees, national/state licensing exams, drug licenses, or employing CLEET-certified peace officers as investigators.

• Grants professional medical licensing boards authority to enter into contracts for discounts on specialized services and equipment, and to purchase and own vehicles for undercover investigations.

• Exempts professional medical licensing boards from oversight by the Fleet Management Division, similar to existing exemptions for the Department of Public Safety and higher education system.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2012.
