SB 1428 Summary

• Amends 74 O.S. 2011, Section 85.45l regarding the Trip Optimizer system for state employee travel reimbursement using motor vehicles.

• Creates exception for nonappropriated state agencies and employees of appropriated agencies who lack access to state-owned vehicles or dedicated vehicles and cannot lease/rent a vehicle within a 10-mile radius of their departure location.

• Employees meeting the exception criteria shall be reimbursed pursuant to Section 500.4 of Title 74 rather than using the Trip Optimizer system.

• Effective date: July 1, 2012, with emergency declaration for immediate implementation.
