Amends 85 O.S. 2011, Section 341 regarding discharge or termination of group health insurance for employees.

Adds new limitation on employer liability: damages awarded to state or political subdivision employees cannot exceed amounts permitted under the Governmental Tort Claims Act.

Existing law already prohibited employers from discharging employees for filing workers' compensation claims, retaining lawyers, testifying, or participating in workplace medical plans.

Prior law capped punitive damages at $100,000; new provision further limits state and political subdivision liability to statutory tort claims limits.

Effective date: November 1, 2012.
