SB1519 Summary

• Amends 2 O.S. 2011, Section 7-414 (Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act) to clarify that the law does not include incidental sales of raw milk directly to consumers at the farm or through a farmer's market if the milk-producing facility is Grade A certified.

• Allows Grade A dairy farmers to advertise incidental sales of goat milk, defined as sales not exceeding an average of 100 gallons per month.

• Permits farmers and producers to make cheese using milk or cream produced on their own farm without restriction under the Milk and Milk Products Act.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
