SB 1612 Summary

• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 5-106 relating to governing boards of school districts and their executive officers.

• Changes reference in the statute from "Section 4" to "Section 5-106A" and corrects language from "act" to "title" for consistency.

• Allows boards of school districts with fewer than 500 average daily membership (ADM) to permit superintendents to simultaneously serve as principals.

• Establishes that the chief executive officer of a district with a public developmental research school shall be the school director appointed per Section 1210.577.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
