SB 1644 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 14-118 to allow overlength vehicles engaged in harvest operations to transport both in-state and out-of-state harvesting materials, provided truck-tractor two-trailer combinations do not exceed 81'6" in length.

• Specifies that overlength harvest operation vehicles are prohibited from the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways, consistent with existing restrictions on other oversize/overweight vehicles.

• Effective date set for July 1, 2012, with an emergency clause declaring immediate effectiveness for preservation of public peace, health and safety.
