• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 5-106 regarding governing boards of school districts and their designation as boards of education.

• Clarifies reference in subsection C from "Section 4" to "Section 5-106A" and changes reference from "act" to "title" for proper statutory citation.

• Maintains provisions allowing school districts to contract with superintendents for up to three years, share superintendents across multiple districts, and allow superintendents to serve as principals in districts with fewer than 500 average daily membership pupils.

• Effective date set for November 1, 2012.
