SB 1685 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-301 relating to the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act.

• Clarifies the reference to the "Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control" for purposes of promulgating rules and regulations on controlled dangerous substances.

• Authorizes the Director to promulgate rules for training, certification, and registration of animal control officers to purchase, possess, and administer controlled dangerous substances for animal control purposes under Title 4, Sections 501-508 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Requires the Director to cooperate with federal, state, and local entities with jurisdiction over animal euthanasia when developing such rules.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
