SB 1693 Summary

• Establishes two priority categories for state agencies spending federal Title X family planning funds, subject to federal requirements.

• First priority: public entities including state and county health departments and health clinics.

• Second priority: if funds remain after first priority is met, nonpublic entities that are hospitals or federally qualified health centers providing comprehensive primary, preventative, and family planning services.

• Defines "hospital" by reference to Oklahoma Statutes Title 63, Section 1-701, and "federally qualified health center" by reference to 42 U.S.C., Section 1395x(aa)(4).

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
