SB 1789 Summary

• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 5-106 to clarify that school district governing boards are designated as "boards of education"

• Corrects a statutory reference in Section 5-106, subsection C from "Section 4" to "Section 5-106A" and changes "act" to "title"

• Maintains existing provisions regarding superintendent contracts (up to 3 years), multi-district superintendent agreements, and superintendent-principal dual roles in small districts

• Becomes effective November 1, 2012
