• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 5-106 regarding school district governing boards, designated as boards of education.

• Superintendent serves as executive officer of the board and performs duties as directed by the board, with contracts limited to three years beyond the fiscal year of approval.

• Allows multiple school district boards to contract with a single superintendent to serve all districts under Section 5-106A.

• Permits school districts with fewer than 500 average daily membership pupils to allow a superintendent to simultaneously serve as a principal.

• Changes statutory reference from "act" to "title" in Section 5-106C for clarification; effective November 1, 2012.
