ENGROSSED SENATE BILL 1819 - Summary

• Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education must submit annual reports to the Legislature on all baccalaureate programs offered in the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education.

• Report must include five-year averages for each program: graduation rates for first-time enrollees, average student loan debt, and percentage of graduates employed in their field of study.

• Report must include information presented to students and parents at the end of sophomore year showing projected debt for degree completion and details on high-demand academic programs in the Oklahoma economy.

• Bill becomes effective July 1, 2012, with emergency declaration for immediate implementation.
