SB 1864 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-301 to authorize the Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control to promulgate rules and regulations for registration and control of controlled dangerous substances (CDS)

• Requires the Director to establish rules for training, certification, and registration of animal control officers to purchase, possess, and administer CDS for animal control purposes under 4 O.S. Sections 501-508

• Directs the Director to cooperate with federal, state, and local entities with jurisdiction over animal euthanasia when promulgating animal control officer CDS rules

• Effective date: November 1, 2012
