OK SB1905

Prohibits employers from requiring employees who are retired from a U.S. military branch to participate in employer-sponsored health insurance if the plan requires employee contributions.

Applies only to military retirees who already have health coverage through a federal plan.

Requires affected employees to provide proof of their federal health coverage to their employer before the beginning of each plan year.

Creates new Section 1165 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes to codify this requirement.

Effective date: November 1, 2012.
