SB 1913 Summary

• Amends 74 O.S. 2011, Section 2276.1 to modify the Oklahoma State Park Trust Fund by changing authorization from "shall" to "may" for annual utilization of five percent (5%) of the fund's principal.

• Authorizes the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Commission to use Trust Fund principal for protecting and conserving state park lands, preserving historic properties, providing capital upgrades and improvements, and paying fees for trust custodian services.

• Permits the Commission to utilize up to $15,000,000 from the Trust Fund principal between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2020 specifically for constructing and maintaining a lodge and associated facilities at Lake Murray State Park.

• Requires the Commission to prioritize funding for state parks from which revenues were initially derived.

• Effective July 1, 2012, with emergency clause allowing immediate enactment upon passage and approval.
