SB 1988 Summary

• Allocates $2,900,000 from Enrolled Senate Bill No. 1975 appropriations to the Department of Corrections for security enhancements, population reduction, and renovation at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary.

• Requires the Department of Corrections to spend for fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, an amount equal to what it spent on private prisons and halfway houses in fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, plus an additional $2,000,000.

• Authorizes the Department of Corrections to expend $1,250,000 from the Industries Revolving Fund created under Title 57, Section 541 of the Oklahoma Statutes for departmental duties.
