Legislature approves transfer of approximately 588.5 acres at Boggy Depot State Park from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department to the Chickasaw Nation, an eligible sponsor under the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund program.

State of Oklahoma retains all water and mineral rights to the transferred property.

Property transfer becomes null and void if the land ceases to be used for public recreational facilities, with automatic reversion to the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and/or the State of Oklahoma.

Chickasaw Nation is prohibited from placing the property in trust for itself or any other sovereign nation; any attempt to do so triggers automatic reversion to the state.

Transfer is subject to the authority and requirements specified in Section 2224 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
