Wagoner High School football team won the 2011 Class 4A State Championship with a 23-0 victory over Clinton in the state title game.

Senior athlete Kevin Peterson rushed for 246 yards and two touchdowns in the championship game, finishing the season with 1,621 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns, and was named state Player of the Year by the Tulsa World.

Peterson recorded 42 tackles and three interceptions on defense and won 4A state track titles in the 100 and 200 meter dashes; he signed a letter of intent to play football at Oklahoma State University.

Wagoner finished the season with a 13-1 record and Coach Dale Condict led the Bulldogs to a 75-17 record since 2008, including their first ever state football championship in 2011.

The Oklahoma State Senate congratulates the team and directs distribution of the resolution to Coach Dale Condict and Monte Thompson, Superintendent of Wagoner Schools.
