HB1217 Summary

• Amends 62 O.S. 2011, Section 34.37 regarding Governor-provided budget documents submitted at the beginning of each regular legislative session

• Modifies submission requirements to allow the Governor to submit budget documents in written or electronic format (rather than solely in written form)

• Maintains existing requirements that budget documents contain itemized expenditure plans classified by cabinet areas, function, character, and object

• Requires Governor to accompany budget with revenue proposals if proposed expenditures exceed State Board of Equalization estimates

• Effective date: October 1, 2013
