HB 1252 Summary

• Creates an 11-member "Task Force on Management of Federal Funds" consisting of three members appointed by the Governor, three by the House Speaker, three by the Senate President Pro Tempore, plus the Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services and the Director of the Oklahoma Tax Commission (or their designees)

• Task Force must conduct an organizational meeting by October 1, 2013 and is subject to Oklahoma Open Meeting Act and Open Records Act requirements, with meetings announced at least 7 days in advance

• Task Force shall study how state government entities receive federal funds, including analysis of conditions, actions required or prohibited, and relationships between state and federal taxation

• Task Force must submit a final report to the Governor and legislative leadership by December 31, 2013, after which it ceases to have authority to take official action

• Effective date is November 1, 2013; codified as Section 6001 of Title 62 of the Oklahoma Statutes
