• Removes assault and battery convictions (without serious injury) and aggravated assault and battery from mandatory preclusions for handgun licenses under the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act

• Adds domestic abuse and domestic assault and battery as mandatory misdemeanor preclusions that permanently bar handgun license eligibility

• Creates new temporary preclusions for misdemeanor convictions (15-year waiting period) and deferred prosecutions for certain misdemeanors (3-year waiting period), including assault, stalking, domestic abuse, and drug offenses

• Removes reference language from sections 1290.10 and 1290.11 relating to statutory citations while maintaining substantive provisions
