HB 1358 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 11-1116 to regulate operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility vehicles, and golf carts on Oklahoma streets and highways

• Allows golf carts and utility vehicles to operate on city streets if the municipal governing body adopts an ordinance and the street has a posted speed limit of 45 mph or less

• Permits all-terrain vehicles to operate on county roads in unincorporated areas if the board of county commissioners approves such operation and the roadway has a posted speed limit of 45 mph or less

• Maintains existing restrictions on ATVs for direct highway crossings (perpendicular only) and railroad crossing access, subject to speed limit and daylight-only operation requirements

• Effective date: November 1, 2013
