HB 1408 Summary

• Amends 69 O.S. 2011, Section 665 (County Bridge and Road Improvement Act) to expand allowable expenditures from county bridge and road funds.

• Adds two new categories of permitted spending: (1) the purchase of equipment related to construction or maintenance of bridges, roadway structures, or roadways, and (2) costs associated with constructing bituminous surface treatment or gravel roadways.

• Allows counties to use bridge and road improvement funds for engineering contracts, rights-of-way acquisition, project engineering costs, administration, and related expenses as previously authorized.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
