HB 1426 Summary

• Expands wildlife check-in requirements to include name of taker, time of harvest, and date of harvest attached to the carcass.

• Allows electronic check-in of harvested wildlife through the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's online system within 24 hours of leaving the hunt area, as an alternative to physical check stations.

• Increases penalties for false statements or false information during license acquisition or wildlife check-in from $25-$100 to $100-$250 for first offense, and creates new $250-$750 penalty range for second or subsequent violations.

• Mandates automatic revocation of hunting and fishing licenses upon conviction of violating check-in or licensing provisions, with revocation periods set by court between one (1) and ten (10) years.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
