HB 1451 Summary

• Amends 75 O.S. 2011, Section 14 to allow purchase of statutes, cumulative supplements, and session laws in printed or digital form instead of only printed versions

• Establishes that certain state officers, educational institutions, courts, and county officials may purchase copies through the Purchasing Division under The Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act

• Designates specific entities to receive free copies: public libraries, University of Oklahoma law library, Oklahoma State University library, and Oklahoma Department of Libraries

• Requires entities purchasing statutes to submit a copy of their order to the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives within 30 days of placing the order with the publisher

• Repeals 75 O.S. 2011, Sections 13 and 17 (prior distribution and requisition procedures) and becomes effective November 1, 2013
