HB 1455 - Streamlining and Savings Act of 2013

• Eliminates multiple state advisory committees and councils including the Emergency Management Advisory Council, Oklahoma Office of Volunteerism, and various program-specific committees to reduce government overhead.

• Repeals the Oklahoma State Data Center and transfers its functions to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, consolidating data management operations.

• Abolishes the Oklahoma Institute of Technology within the Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology while retaining the Center's operations and trust fund.

• Removes the requirement for the Oklahoma Tax Commission to consult with the Incentive Review Committee and eliminates several job incentive program oversight committees.

• Removes the Small Business Regulatory Review Committee's authority to review proposed agency rules and petition decisions, streamlining the rulemaking process.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
