HB 1686 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1000.2 to re-create the Construction Industries Board, which regulates plumbing, electrical, mechanical trades, and building and construction inspectors

• Extends the Board's sunset termination date from July 1, 2013 to July 1, 2017

• Board composition remains seven members appointed by the Governor with Senate consent: two plumbing trade members, two electrical trade members, two mechanical trade members, and one building and construction inspector, each with at least 10 years of experience

• Board members serve four-year terms; those initially appointed serve either two or four-year terms as designated by the Governor

• Members may be removed by the Governor for cause
