• Re-creates the Advisory Committee on Pedorthics under the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, with continuation extended to July 1, 2019 (previously set to expire July 1, 2013)

• Committee consists of five voting members appointed to three-year terms: one licensed physician from the State Board, one podiatric physician, one consumer of pedorthic services, and two certified or licensed pedorthists

• Members serve until successors are appointed and qualified, with a maximum of eight consecutive years or two full terms, whichever is greater

• Committee responsibilities include advising the Board on scope of practice, licensure requirements, examination standards, competency maintenance, license suspension/revocation grounds, and fees; reviewing and recommending on licensure applications; and assisting in enforcement hearings

• Committee members annually elect a chair and vice-chair, with quorum consisting of the chair or vice-chair plus two other members; members receive reimbursement under the State Travel Reimbursement Act
