Creates the School Transportation Task Force to study school transportation issues and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs, with a termination date of December 31, 2013

Task Force consists of 12 members: 2 appointed by the House Speaker, 2 by the Senate President Pro Tempore, the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and representatives from school boards, superintendents, transportation directors, bus manufacturers/dealers, and the alternative fuels program

Appointments must be made by August 1, 2013, with an organizational meeting held by August 31, 2013

Task Force must investigate costs and benefits of converting school buses to compressed natural gas or alternative fuels, privatizing transportation services, analyzing current transportation costs, and studying other states' transportation systems

Task Force is exempt from the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act and Open Records Act; staff assistance provided by the State Department of Education
