• Allows persons to file motions for expungement if charged or arrested for a crime committed by another person who used their name or identification without consent or authorization (identity theft cases).

• Expunged records are sealed to the public but remain accessible to law enforcement for law enforcement purposes, with records from certain categories (8, 9, 10, 11, 12) admissible in future criminal prosecutions to prove prior convictions.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
