HB2141 Summary

• Directs the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Board of Trustees to cease operation of the two-year residential high school program by June 30, 2016.

• Requires establishment of regional center programs implementing advanced science and mathematics curriculum in each technology center school district by July 1, 2016, with at least one program in the five most populous counties.

• Transfers all real property of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City (including Manning Academic Center, Dan Little Residence Hall, and related facilities) to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center effective June 30, 2016, with conveyances to be completed by January 1, 2017.

• Renames the institution from "Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics" to "Oklahoma Schools of Science and Mathematics" and modifies the revolving fund name and purposes accordingly.

• Repeals the pilot programs section and establishes effective dates of November 1, 2013 for initial provisions and July 1, 2016 for substantive amendments.
