HB2284 Summary

• Requires all licensed nursing facilities in Oklahoma to operate functioning surveillance cameras in entrances, exits, hallways, and common areas of the facility as a condition of licensure.

• Mandates nursing facilities retain all surveillance footage for a minimum of 14 days.

• Requires surveillance footage to be made available for inspection by law enforcement, the public upon written request, and representatives of the State Department of Health.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2013.
