SB 1049 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1750.6 regarding private security guard and private investigator licenses under the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act.

• Modifies licensing fee structure and deposit procedures, including refund provisions when applicants do not qualify for requested license types.

• Changes agency license terms from five (5) years to three (3) years, effective November 1, 2013, and authorizes prorated fees for Security Agency and Investigative Agency Licenses to align with individual licensee terms.

• Removes references to a "CLEET Private Security Revolving Fund" and redirects certain fee deposits to the General Revenue Fund and OSBI Revolving Fund instead.

• Becomes effective July 1, 2013, with an emergency clause declared for immediate passage.
