SB 164 Summary

• Creates the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police License Plate Revolving Fund and deposits $20 of each Chiefs of Police plate fee to support law enforcement training and education throughout the state.

• Modifies the World War II Veteran license plate design to display either the 45th Infantry Division Thunderbird emblem or branch-of-service insignia, and expands eligibility for widow plates.

• Creates new special license plates for Legion of Merit Medal Recipients, Oklahomans for the Arts, Oklahoma City Barons, Oklahoma City Redhawks, Tulsa Shock, Tulsa Oilers, Tulsa Drillers, Millwood School District, Booker T. Washington High School, Oklahoma state flags (current and original), and Tulsa 66ers.

• Reauthorizes existing special license plates for Sigma Gamma Rho and BMW Car Club of America, and modifies Civil Emergency Management plate eligibility requirements.

• Creates Crossings Christian School license plate and requires licensing agreement with the school; establishes effective date of November 1, 2013.
